The gazebo at the Cape May County Park and Zoo can serve as a semi-private spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Accommodating up to 50 people, the gazebo is built over the pond and accessed via a footbridge.
Your two-hour reservation includes setup and clean up. Use of the gazebo is for nuptials only, but reception space is available in the park’s pavilions.
We know aesthetics are important, so here’s what it looks like: The gazebo itself is painted white inside and out and has a bit of gingerbread trim; the bridge and decking are gray. It took us eight strides to cross the interior, and there’s space for additional guests on the surrounding deck.
Good news: The gazebo has electricity! We spotted an outlet mounted on the inside.
Slightly less good news: There are a lot of geese in the area. Watch your shoes on the path leading up to the bridge and the grass near the pond. You might step in something.
