Local artist Don Merwin of Cape May opens the new exhibit at the Harbor Gallery, “Reflection of The Sea” for the month of June.  The public is invited to a meet the artist reception on Friday June 7th from 4 to 6 pm. The Harbor Gallery is located at the Nature Center of Cape May at 1600 Delaware Avenue in Cape May. The exhibit will continue through the end of the month.  All artwork is for sale, with a portion supporting the Nature Center of Cape May. Light refreshments will be served. Award winning photographer, Don Merwin, has been taking photos for most of his life.  Even though he has traveled throughout the United States it is Cape May that he calls home. Don has spent many hours surfing or kayaking on the ocean and finds the way light dances on its surface to be both mesmerizing and a challenge to photograph. He has a unique eye and seems to easily capture the moment in just the right light.  The Cape May Harbor and its fishing boats are also an inspiration to Merwin. Many of his photos are taken at sunrise or sunset or with the moon prominently featured. This exhibit will coincide with World Ocean Day on June 8^th and also during Cape May City’s Harborfest Street Festival being held on June 29th.
