Cape Island Ocean Festival
Join us at the Nature Center of Cape May as we celebrate the ocean at the Cape Island Ocean Festival. The day will begin with a flow yoga class with Emily Wilmoth and a beach clean of the Cape May Harbor beach across from the Center with Jillian Simons. The day will continue with fun educational ocean-themed activities focused on the beauty and importance of the ocean and how we can all be good stewards of the sea. Bring the family for a fun day; take the kids on a scavenger hunt, purchase a tote bag to tie-dye, make an ocean necklace, visit sea creatures in our Aquatics Lab, wander down to the Harbor Beach for a Harbor Safari, do some shore birding and support local ocean themed artists. Our carefully curated ocean-themed artists include, Bruce Bieber & Annette Patton, Emily Arenberg, Janet Payne Jewelry, Jetty Yeti & Salty Ruska, HLM Jewelry, Spirit Catcher Photography, and South of the Moon Pottery, will be selling their work. Festival-goers will enjoy learning from various local non-profit organizations and Walks & Talks. Enjoy lunch from Mac Cafe’s food truck while listening to live music with the Honey Hawks and the Squares.
