Fourth of July Celebration on the Lawn at Congress Hall
The ultimate honoring of America is returning to Congress Hall in Cape May this summer with a grand Fourth of July Celebration on the Lawn. A tradition that has spanned over 200 summers, this beloved celebration is a staple of the season at Cape Resorts and pays homage to the rich history of Congress Hall, where renowned U.S. presidents have frequented in years past. The classic grandeur and authentic charm of Congress Hall make this the perfect place to spend July 4 with the family, frolicking on the Lawn with fun and games and commemorating America’s independence. The festivities kick off at 11am on Thursday, July 4.
These displays of patriotic pride will have guests seeing stars and stripes. From exciting train rides on the iconic Congress Hall Express to thrilling turns around the carousel, kids and adults can enjoy a day full of red, white and blue festivities. Blue the Pig will make appearances throughout the evening from 6pm-9pm, offering perfect photo ops, and guests will be treated to live music from the Atlantic City Syncopators at 6pm as well as a sing-along with the Congress Hall Festival Choir at 8pm, followed by a patriotic musical tribute at 9pm. The night will end with a few words from the mayor of Cape May and Curtis Bashaw, Cape Resorts founder and managing partner; a performance of the National Anthem at 9:30pm; and an incredible display of mesmerizing fireworks over the beach at dusk.
