Wings & Things 2024: Creativity Takes Flight

Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum invites you to join us for one of our favorite annual events—Wings & Things: An Arts and Craft Festival that Celebrates Creativity, Community, and Cars!

Wings & Things transforms our historic WWII-era hangar into a vibrant hub of local talent and family-friendly fun. Guests can browse handmade goods from a variety of craft vendors, offering everything from artisan creations to homemade treats. It’s the perfect way to support local artists while enjoying a day surrounded by history and heritage.

For our younger guests, face painting and a hands-on kids’ craft station will spark imagination and creativity. Children can make kites, craft friendship bracelets to take home, and color drawings for soldiers. Adults can join in the fun, too—activities like a bird carving demonstration by Jim Collins and a DIY trinket dish project offer something for everyone. New this year, guests can also take part in a Model Airplane Building Workshop, perfect for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.

Throughout the day, enjoy live music by BRECK, an energetic, high-impact party and dance band known for their dynamic performances. BRECK will bring the hangar to life with crowd-pleasing hits and unforgettable energy—perfect for a summer celebration. Grab a bite to eat from one of our amazing food trucks—Hit the Road Jack and El Pueblo Taqueria—and cool off in our Beer & Wine Garden, all while exploring the museum’s incredible aircraft and exhibits.

This year’s event will also feature the return of vintage and modern cars on display. Hot Rods at the Hangar will showcase a lineup of stunning vehicles that are sure to impress gearheads and casual car lovers alike.

Best of all, this event supports NASW’s mission to preserve and share aviation history. Wings & Things continues to be a vital fundraiser, helping us grow our museum community and expand our reach to new audiences. None of this would be possible without the incredible work of our dedicated volunteers and the generous support of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cape May County Division of Culture and Heritage.

Admission includes access to the festival and museum exhibits—so come spend the day with us at NAS Wildwood! We can’t wait to see you there.
