The Merion Inn hosted the 3rd Annual Jazz Brunch for Animal Outreach Sunday Nov. 21. Congress Hall’s Christmas tree arrived on Friday from a private property in North Cape May on a flat bed truck. A crane was brought in to help place the tree into place as well as lots of man power. The tree is over 30 feet tall.

Cape May’s very own George’s Place was featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the episode A Triple D Thanksgiving on November 15th. A Winter Wonderland Warm-Up was held at Congress Hall Tuesday, Nov. 9 to help benefit the upcoming Dec. 4 West Cape May Christmas Parade. Hosted jointly by West Cape May Mayor Pam Kaithern, Cape May Mayor Ed Mahaney, Jr., and the staff of Congress Hall, hot chocolate and savory treats were offered to those attending.
The 34th Cape May Jazz Festival will take place Nov. 12-14 featuring the Yellow Jackets Friday night at Our Lady Star of the Sea recreational hall. But as a lead off to the fest a Jazz Brunch was held Sunday Oct. 31.
The VFW was the setting Monday, November 1 for the Annual Spaghetti & Meatball dinner, proceeds to benefit the West Cape May Christmas Parade (Saturday, December 4). At the helm in the kitchen was Chef Chris Huber of Black Duck fame.
