35th Cape May Jazz Festival

There was a little something for everyone at the 35th Cape May Jazz Festival, April 8-11. From guitarist Kevin Eubanks formerly of The Tonight Show  to congo player and Latin jazz artist Poncho Sanchez. Many artists performed in venues throughout the island and the rainy weather of Friday made way for sunny skies by Saturday.

CROP Walk

On Saturday, April a CROP Walk began at the Emlen Physick Estate. The route took walkers through Cape May’s historic streets and down to the beachfront. New York comedians played to a packed house at Cabanas Saturday night as Gables sponsored its 4th Annual Diversity Weekend Bait & Swish night of comedy hosted by Adam Sank.

Slow Food

The Cape May Forum presented a Spring Slow Food Dinner Saturday, April 2 at the Ballroom in Congress Hall. The mission for the event is to build the farm-to-table connection among farmers, artisan producers, chefs restaurants, schools and families. Chili Cook Off

The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May held a Chili and Chowder Cook-Off, Saturday, March 12th at Congress Hall. Chefs, both amateur and professional, participated in this second annual event. Hidden Valley Ranch Celebrates

Hidden Valley Ranch celebrated “We Are Over the Winter Hump” with a beef and beer benefit on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Cape May VFW.
