Cape May in the month of July is full of exciting events for people of all ages. Fourth of July celebrations, plays and concerts are just a few of the events you can choose from to attend.

Monday July 1 at the Cape May Stage, Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker Present World Premiere of New One-Acts at 8 p.m. Two of Cape May Stage’s favorite performers are this husband and wife duo. Best known as the stars of NBC’s L.A. Law, split their time between New York City and Italy. They will perform a world premiere of amusingly anecdotal stories illustrating the entertaining dichotomy of their vastly different home lives. Tuesday July 2 the East Lynne Theater Company presents an Evening of Fables at 8 p.m. It is a Student Workshop Production with an admission-free performance. Visit www.eastlynnetheater.org for more information.

Wednesday July 3 features to Family Fun Day at the Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township. Kid friendly activities, performers, entertainment and unique craft vendors at the base of the lighthouse from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. This event takes place every Wednesday throughout the month of July.

The Independence Day fireworks can be seen beach front at dusk on July 4. Independence Parade on Beach Avenue, near Cape May Convention Hall, takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday July 7. See Parading in the Fourth of July 2013 for more event details.

Friday July 5 at the Emlem Physick Estate, you can attend the Princesses and Pirates Luncheon. Lunch includes princess dress-up, mani-pedis and etiquette tips for the girls, and pirate gear, lessons in pirate walking and balloon swords for the boys. Enjoy a story too! $23 for adults, $15 for children (ages 3-12). Price includes lunch. Event limited to 20 children so reserve early. Another event at the Emlem Physick Estate is Teddy Bear Tea Party. It is BYOB – bring your own bear (or dolly). This event features kid friendly menus and teddy bear music. Miss Jeanne and a special guest from the Cape May Teddy Bear Co. will be presenting stories and activities for the attendees as well as providing a goody bag. 11 am to 1 pm. $18 for adults, $10 for children (ages 3-12). On Sunday July 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Cape May Macedonia Baptist Church will host “Vendors in Wilbraham Park.” This event features a variety of crafts, antiques and edible delicacies. Wilbraham Park hosts Arts and Antiques Saturday, July 20 – Art & Antiques in the Park. This event is to benefit the West Cape May History Committee. From 9 am – 5 pm, rain date July 21. Call 609-884-9326 for more information.

The performance on Monday July 8 at the Cape May Stage is The Great Love of Broadway. This is performed by Star of Stage and Screen, Ron Raines and Broadway Musical Director, Don Pippin. Raines is a Tony, Emmy and Soap Opera Digest Award-nominee. Their repertoire will include a number of renowned Broadway favorites, as well as a selection of songs from Raines’ latest album, Celebrating the American Spirit. Cape May Convention Hall is the venue for some wonderful Stockton Goes to the Beach concerts this summer. The first performer is John Ford Coley with special guest singer-songwriter Robbie Dupreen on July 8 at 8 p.m.. Coley is known for his hit songs “Love Is the Answer,” “Gone Too Far” and “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight” to name a few. Dupree is best known for his 1980 top ten pop hit, “Steal Away.” All seats are $35, call 609-884-9563 for tickets.

On Wednesday July 10 at 10:30 a.m., Stockton Performing Arts Center in conjunction with The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company, is proud to present Children’s Summer Playhouse, Winnie-The-Pooh. Next week on Wednesday July 17, the performance is Jack & The Beanstalk. Wednesday July 24 the show is Dorothy Meets Alice: The Wizard of Wonderland. From July 12 to July 20, East Lynne Theater Company presents Lost on the Natchez Trace. The year is 1825 and slave auctioneer Malcolm Jeters is headed home when he falls from his mule in Mississippi’s Natchez Trace during a violent storm. Injured and starving, he yells for help. The only one who appears is a runaway slave. The question is who will save whom? Visit www.eastlynnetheater.org/ for more information.

The second Stockton Goes to the Beach Concert features Christopher Cross on July 15 at 8 pm. Cross was the biggest new star of 1980. He defined adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads including the #1 hit “Sailing.” He will sing all of his hits at the concert. Stockton Goes to the Beach continues on July 22 with Helen Reddy at 8 p.m. Reddy is a Grammy-Award-winning singer. Her hits include “I Am Woman,” “Leave Me Alone (Red Ruby Dress),” and “Angie Baby” to share a few. All seats are $35, call 609-884-9563 for tickets.

Also on July 22 at 8 p.m. is the Broadway and Cabaret star, Karen Akers, in a Cole Porter Tribute at the Cape May Stage. For the first time, the Tony-Award-nominee performs her Porter tribute in Cape May. Her repertoire of Porter classics will include faves like I Get a Kick Out of You, I Love Paris and Always True to You (In My Fashion). Running from July 24 to August 31, East Lynne Theater Company presents The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at 8:30 pm. Washington Irving’s supernatural story is adapted by James Rana who so vividly created ELTC’s last season’s The Poe Mysteries, with a cast of six playing many roles to bring the tale to life. The last Stockton Goes to the Beach concert of July ends with Ronnie Spector, the lead singer of ultimate girl group, The Ronettes, on July 29 at 8 p.m. Sherecorded the Grammy-Award-winning “Walking in the Rain,” “Do I Love You,” and the international Number One smash “Be My Baby.” All seats are $35, call 609-884-9563 for tickets.

Running July 31 to September 13 at Cape May Stage, Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti. Tuesdays to Sundays at 8 p.m. Bernard is engaged to Gloria. And to Gabriella. And to Gretchen.
