On the morning of Sunday June 12th, in Cape May NJ, 1,750 participants jumped off the ferry into the Delaware Bay in the “Escape the Cape” Triathlon. Voted the “Best Triathlon” in the Mid-Atlantic & Northeast Regions, and in 2014 named the “Best of Competitor,” this morning’s competition started with some very challenging waters and bright sunshine. Cape May has hosted the “Escape the Cape” since 2013, each year bringing more enthusiastic participants.

Step one: Jump off the Cape May – Lewes Ferry

Step 2: Swim at least 1/3 mile to shore.

Step 4: Run a 5k or 10k (different classes) to finish

Step 3 Bike either 12.5 or 25 miles.
