Beach Theatre Demolition Begins

The City of Cape May issued a demolition permit for the Beach Theatre this morning. Demolition began this afternoon. The theatre stood on Cape May’s beachfront since September 1950, when it opened with Father of the Bride.

Earthquake felt in Cape May

Shortly before 2:00 p.m., an earthquake was felt in Cape May. Our entire office building shook, lights swung, and floors vibrated. The shaking lasted approximately 30 seconds. Convention Hall is Closed
