Feathers will fly when the Duffy String Band struts into Cape May Convention Hall Saturday, September 1 at 7:30 PM. Performance highlights will include lively music, the famous “Mummers Strut,” and of course, the beautiful costumes and props that have made the Mummers a beloved Philly tradition. Members of the audience will be invited to show their skills, so be prepared to get up and join the fun.
Founded in 1945 by the late George Duffy, the band has performed in the Philadelphia Mummers Parade every year for the last 66 years and shows no signs of slowing down. In 2003, the band was named the Official String Band of North Wildwood, New Jersey.
