Visit the Historic Cold Spring Village’s for an exciting weekend of all things fiber arts, hand-stitched and homespun! Take part in voting for your favorite quilt in the Welcome Center all day Saturday, and don’t worry-the quilts will still be on display on Sunday! Enjoy demonstrations of wool production, spinning, knitting, crocheting, lacemaking and a “yarn-bombing” at the Village. Quilters will present a variety of techniques including “hand-turning” and other traditional and historic methods. A special, newly-restored Cape May County wedding quilt, c. 1714 will be on display for the first time. This event will also be the grand opening of the Village’s Needle Arts Coop. Located at the Taylor Octagonal House, the building will serve as a learning center for interactive lessons in handmade skills, with take-home kits, supplies and artisan wares available for purchase. HCSV is located at 720 Rte 9, Cold Spring.
