First off, we want to thank all of you who participated in voting for CapeMay.com's Best Pictures of the Day. The response was fabulous. So fabulous, that we were inspired to create a real calendar. We used some of the Picture-of-the-Day winners and some outtakes to create an unusual calendar - unusual in the sense that it starts in March. And why not? March says spring and time to take another look at those beach chairs and decide if they can make it one more year. It is also a harbinger for our approaching Cape May Magazine, Spring 2007 issue. The calendars will go out to all our subscribers. So, if you'd like a calendar, please click here to subscribe now.

"ALL the photos are just beautiful!!"

Spectacular skies and moody atmosphere (the Abbey B&B) took
the prizes in these January shots.

FYI: The larger picture is the winner.
The smaller picture came in second. Three pictures indicate a tie. Click on the image to view it larger.

Who couldn't resist picking this snowy, car-less picture of Columbia Avenue as the winner? And oh you romantics you always go for the heart in February.

"Great Photos, keep them coming!"

A cold crisp sunset at The Cove came in first in March followed by the warm promise of spring.

"I can't tell you enough how much I look forward to the Picture of the Day. Many times it is a view we also admired on one of our trips to Cape May."

Tulips prevailed over Cherry blossoms in April. Both are reminders that warm weather is here to stay.

Blue skies, picket fences and sunny flowers won the hearts of voters in May. It was a tie for second - a choice between twilight at Congress Hall or the first sighting of Steger's Beach gear.

"Great photos. Cape May is such a beauty!"

The drama of the lighthouse at sunset took the day in June followed by cheerful flowers in the gardens at the Physick Estate.

Fireworks are a natural winner in July. Waves and good times at the beach a close second.

This August shot, taken from a boat at Jefferson Street beach, is picture perfect. And you guys just can't get enough of the lighthouse at sunset, taken from The Cove.

"It was tough to choose, so many capture the essence of Cape May!"

Afterglow, taken from The Cove, is the clear winner. Tied for second still-life and, you guessed it, the lighthouse, taken from The Cove.

"I love Cape May! Having the picture of the day to look at, makes the time between each visit bearable. Thank you!"

Laughing pumpkins took your heart in October, followed by this lovely shot of Columbia House.

Winter twilight at The Cove is the winner in November. Grey skies, rough surf and hardy surfers came in second.

"November was a tough month to find a favorite. So many pictures were great! Loved it."

What says December in Cape May more than the tree-lighting at the Victorian Bandstand? This lovely stained-glass window photo was taken Christmas Eve at Our Lady Star of Sea Church.
